About us.
In 2015 Richard Jones Jr opened One Stop Smoke Shop. He had dreams of becoming a business owner and place he could call his own. Maybe something Richard could use to provide for his son Marcus and the future. Richard ran the shop for a little over two years. With in those years he would learn that cannabis would soon become legal in NM. This news allowed Richard to dream bigger and higher. Those dreams soon came to a halt In 2018 Richard would be in a tragic motorcycle accident. During all of this the ones Richard had watching and helping in his shop at the time people who he thought he could trust would do the opposite. They would steal and take from the shop, making it harder for the family when it came time to get the shop going again. With the help of Richard’s family he would be honored by keeping his shop up and running. Richard Sr. Would take on the task of running One Stop Smoke Shop with the help of his wife Betty Lou, daughters Christina, Roxann, and Nicole. Knowing Richard Jr wanted to get his
License to become a cannabis dispensary Rick (Richard Sr. ) would make Richard Jr dreams come true. In 2021 One Stop Smoke would get the license to be retail Cannabis shop. With in all the years One Stop Smoke Shop has been open many obstacles have occurred along the way. From break-ins, being closed during the pandemic and a car being driven into the shop with many other countless things that occurred in between but have made the shop more determined to stay open. We are a family owned small business and believe this is why our customers love supporting One Stop Smoke Shop. This is our way of keeping Richard here with us and allowing those that cared and loved him to find a place to remember him. Richard was so much more than his shop but this one small thing that keeps us close to him and making a family legacy he started.
